The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research has announced 444 vacancies for the SO & ASO post. All interested candidates filled out their application forms from December 8, 2023, to January 14, 2024. Candidates who have graduated and are aged between 21 to 30 years are eligible for this post. The shortlisted candidates will receive a salary for Section Officer: (Rs. 47,600 –Rs. 1,51,100) and Assistant Section Officer: (Rs. 44,900 –1,42,400).

The admit card is a crucial document that you must carry to the examination hall. It contains essential information such as your examination center, exam time, roll number, and important instructions that you need to follow to enter the examination hall. Note: Remember, a soft copy of the admit card is not accepted in the examination hall. Ensure you carry the printed hard copy along with an original ID proof (Aadhar card, Voter ID, Driving license, Passport – PAN card is not accepted as a valid ID proof) to appear in the exam.
Regarding the SO & ASO Exam details, make sure to answer the 150 questions within the 2-hour time frame. The maximum mark achievable is 350. The question paper covers sections such as Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Knowledge/General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.
